About us

Judy

Judy was an impulse buy that have completely changed my life.

He was the cutest and the most beautiful creature I have ever seen and I have taken it upon myself to give him the best life possible. At 16 weeks old, huge floppy ears and amazing pink eyes he completely stole my heart.

Thanks to the internet I soon realised that looking after a bunny is not something that should be taken lightly. While neutering went well, the teeth problems soon became apparent and continued for the rest of his life. Hay was not something to be enjoyed as the main food, and due to the molar malocclusion I never knew if he just couldn't eat it, or didn't want to. One thing was apparent, Judy needed a girlfriend.

Honey

Honey came to live with us a year later, rescued from bad people by lovely Jim and Lynda at the CARROT rescue centre in Arbroath. She was between one and two years old, so either same age as Judy or a year older. While Jim supervised the first introduction, I bonded them myself over a four week period. As his pink eyes meant poorer eye sight, Judy got to rely on Honey and the friendship thrived. Judy died on the 18 November 2009, aged 6.5 years old after treatment with Xeno 450. Because of the suddenness of his death both me and Honey were left devastated.

The more advise I seeked the wider variety of comments I received. Find a new friend for Honey as soon as possible, or let her grieve. After months of sadness in the house I decided the time was right to do the right thing. After months of looking through rescue centres, I decided to reach further.

Oliver

Oliver is very special for many reasons. I always wanted a Giant Papillon, he's brought happiness back to my home and he restored my belief in the goodness in people. He came from Eddie Alder, a breeder who not only convinced me that not all breeders are bad, that he is responsible and truly loves his babies, but who also helped me to transport Oliver from where he was born to his new home in Scotland, a journey of over 300 miles. We met on the way and then I had my boy.

Aged 11 weeks Oliver was destined to repair Honey's broken heart, and mine.
